Hotel Metropolis - Kaunas

The history of the hotel goes back to the 19th century, when the building was designed and opened by the well-known engineer Nikolajus Andrejevas. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs obtained the building in 1922 and added a new 3-storey building in S.Daukanto street. The famous architect Vladimiras Dubeneckas transferred all the ideas and features of the "Lithuanian neo-baroque" style into the building.

The hotel is located next to the middle of Laisvės Alėja, the main pedestrian street of Kaunas.
